Our private Wine Cellar is the most requested holiday party room in the restaurant, and it books early. Tucked away from the main dining room and surrounded by curated Italian wines, it seats up to 50 guests (60 for a standing reception) for a seated holiday dinner, executive dinner, or team celebration that feels completely your own.
AV capabilities make it easy to add a year-end toast, slideshow or awards moment, which is why the Wine Cellar is a favorite for corporate holiday parties and convention groups near the San Diego Convention Center.
The Colosseum Booth: Small Team Celebrations
Celebrating with a smaller team? The Colosseum Booth sits beneath our signature Colosseum mural with large windows overlooking the lights of Fifth Avenue during the holidays. It is an intimate, distinctly Roman setting for small department dinners, leadership team celebrations and holiday dinners with friends in the Gaslamp Quarter.

Main Dining Room & Full Venue Buyouts
For company-wide holiday parties, make Romanissimo your own. The Main Dining Room hosts up to 120 seated or 150 standing with access to the bar and lounge, and a Full Venue buyout accommodates up to 250 seated or 300 for a reception. Multi-venue and block party options are available for groups of 400+.
A projector and two TV screens at the bar are ready for speeches, awards and year-in-review slideshows, so your holiday party can be as polished or as lively as you want it.

When should we book our company holiday party?
As early as possible. Friday and Saturday evenings in December are always the first holiday party dates to go in the Gaslamp Quarter. If your date is flexible, weeknights, early December, and “after the holidays” parties in January give you the widest choice of spaces.
How many guests can you host for a holiday party?
From intimate team dinners of 10 to company-wide celebrations. The Wine Cellar seats 50 (60 reception), the Main Dining Room seats 120 (150 reception), and a Full Venue buyout seats 250 (300 reception). Multi-venue options are available for groups of 400+.
Do you offer holiday party menus or packages?
Yes. Choose from our group menus or have our events team build a custom holiday menu around your budget per person, with passed hors d’oeuvres, stations, family-style platters or a plated Italian dinner.
Is a deposit required to book?
No, a deposit is not required.
Is there a food and beverage minimum?
Some private spaces require a food and beverage minimum, which varies based on the date, time and event space selected. December weekend dates typically carry higher minimums than weeknights.
What bar options are available?
We offer hosted bars, limited hosted bars, drink tickets, consumption bars and cash bar options. Our bartenders can also create a signature holiday cocktail for your party.
Do we have to choose a preset dinner menu?
Groups of 12 and over will be asked to select a preset menu, and groups of 15 and over are required to.
Can we give a toast, presentation or awards?
Yes. The Main Dining Room has a projector and two TV screens at the bar, and AV capabilities are available in the Wine Cellar for slideshows, speeches and year-end awards.

We are at 644 Fifth Avenue in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, a short walk from Petco Park and about 10 minutes from the San Diego Convention Center, which makes us an easy holiday party venue for downtown offices and visiting teams.

When is the final guest count due?
Final guest counts are typically due 48 business hours before your event.
