Romanissimo is a Roman-style Italian restaurant in the heart of San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter, just minutes from Petco Park and the San Diego Convention Center.

Where is Romanissimo located?

We're at 644 Fifth Ave, San Diego, CA 92101, in the heart of downtown San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter. Get directions on our contact page.

What are Romanissimo's hours?

We're open Sunday through Thursday from 4pm to 10pm, and Friday and Saturday from 4pm to 11pm. Happy hour runs daily from 4pm to 6pm.

Are you open for lunch?

We open daily at 4pm for happy hour and dinner, so we're not currently open for lunch service.

Where can I park near Romanissimo?

Park at the Horton Plaza parking structure and enjoy $12 parking with validation from Romanissimo. Just show your parking ticket to your server when you finish your meal. Street parking downtown is limited, so the parking structure or rideshare is your easiest option.

How far is Romanissimo from Petco Park?

How do I make a reservation at Romanissimo?

The fastest way is to reserve a table on OpenTable. You can also call us at (619) 235-8144.

Do you accept walk-ins?

Yes. We welcome both walk-ins and reservations. On busy nights, such as Padres home games and Convention Center events, we recommend reserving ahead.

Can Romanissimo seat large groups?

Yes. We love hosting groups. Parties of 12 or more are asked to choose a preset dinner menu, and it's required for groups of 15 or more. For larger gatherings, explore our private dining and event spaces.

Can we split the bill?

Yes. We can split the bill across up to three cards.

Is your pasta made in-house?

What is the cheese wheel pasta?

Happy hour is every day from 4pm to 6pm.

Spritz O'Clock pairs a charcuterie board with an Aperol Spritz for $25. It's available during happy hour, 4pm to 6pm.

Do you have Italian wines?

What private event spaces does Romanissimo offer?

We offer private and semi-private spaces, including our below-ground Wine Cellar for up to 50 guests and full main dining room buyouts for larger celebrations. Explore our private dining and event spaces.

How many guests can Romanissimo host for a private event?

We host everything from intimate dinners to events with as many as 300 guests. The Wine Cellar accommodates up to 50 guests, and restaurant buyouts are available for larger groups. Request availability and our team will recommend the best space.

Do you host corporate dinners and pharma events?

Yes. We regularly host corporate dinners, client appreciation events and conference dinners near the Convention Center. We also offer pharma budgeted menus, so share your per-person budget with our event coordinator and we'll customize the menu. Details are on our private events page.

Can we bring our own cake?

Yes. You're welcome to bring a celebration cake. Cake-cutting fees may apply.

Can we decorate the space?

Yes. You're welcome to bring simple décor such as flowers, table accents, balloons and signage.

Can we play our own music?

Many of our private spaces allow personalized playlists or entertainment. Ask our events team about your space.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions for group events?

Yes. We can accommodate most dietary preferences and allergies, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free requests, with advance notice.

Are children welcome at private events?

Yes. Family-friendly events are welcome, and we can create kid-friendly menu options on request.

What kinds of cocktail receptions do you host?

Guests enjoy chef-curated Italian hors d'oeuvres, passed and at stations, with interactive culinary stations available for larger receptions. Every menu is customized to your event and budget.

What bar options do you offer for receptions?

Choose from hosted bars, limited hosted bars, drink tickets, consumption bars or a cash bar. With a cash bar, guests can purchase their own drinks. We can also create custom signature cocktails for your event.

Can you host a convention mixer near the San Diego Convention Center?

Yes. We're minutes from the Convention Center, and our flexible layouts work for anything from 20 executives to 300 convention attendees. Check availability for your dates.
